  • How to update premium plugins?

    We have integrated some premium plugins with the theme and bundled those plugins with the theme. You don’t have to input your Themeforest product ID to unlock any theme features. We are not providing the third party plugin’s license along with the theme.

    We are providing the plugins file only and we are continuously updating the bundled plugins with the theme updates. You can install/get those plugins on [direction]Appearance > Instal Plugins[/direction]

  • How to change the author’s avatar?

    The theme uses Gravatar to display users avatars . to create or change your Gravatar :

    If you have never set-up a Gravatar account:

    1. Register/login to Gravatar. Upon registering, use the SAME email address that is associated with your WordPress User Profile.
    2. Upload your photo and associate it with that specific email address.

    If you already registered at gravatar.com, follow these steps:

    1. Click on “My Gravatars”.
    2. Click on “Add a New Email”.
    3. Then, you’ll need to click on “Add a New Image”.
    4. Upload an image.
    5. Then select the email address, and then select your image from the bottom. Now it’s associated with that email address. Click Save.
    6. It will take about 5-10 minutes to propagate on the internet, and they will appear on site.

  • Optimize Images

    Optimizing your images will helps your WordPress site load faster.

    Download and activate WP Smush.it This plugin will optimize every image you upload and you can use the Bulk Smush.it feature to smush all of your uploaded images.

    Alternatives to WP Smush.it include EWWW Image OptimizerCW Image OptimizerImsanity and Hammy. Many WordPress users prefer using these plugins as they do not rely on an external server to process your images.

  • Updating The Theme

    n

    There are 3 methods to update WordPress themes to the newer version. These new updates are essential if you want to have a bug-free website as we give new features and improvements to the theme over time. Some of these updates might be needed to make the theme compatible with WordPress’s newer versions. There is no risk of losing your settings and pages.

    However if you had done modifications in parent theme files, then they will be lost. We recommend you to do all your modifications using the Child theme of Zoomy (the child theme included with the theme package).

    Update Using FTP

    1. Login in to your Themeforest account and go to downloads (Dashboard > downloads)
    2. Download the theme into your computer
    3. Install an FTP program (Filezilla is free)
    4. Retrieve your FTP login information from your hosting admin panel and login into your hosting via FTP
    5. Unzip the item main file
    6. Locate the zoomy.zip file and unzip it. Make sure your unzipping software does not create an extra directory with the same name nested into each other.
    7. Drag and drop the theme main folder into your FTP program with the destination: “YOUR_HOSTING_ROOT/YOUR_SUBDIRECTORY/wp-content/themes/”
    8. FTP program will give a warning that there is an existing with the same directory name, choose to replace all.
    9. It will take varying from 15 to 30 minutes to replace all files. once you did login into your WordPress dashboard and go to master key settings. on the header (besides the master key logo) the theme version will be changed to the latest version. this is the indication that your theme is updated. We recommend method one which only takes less than one minute.

    Note: You can also upload the new version of the theme to “YOUR_HOSTING_ROOT/YOUR_SUBDIRECTORY/wp-content/themes/” directory with cPanel File Manager. Make sure every time that, you have replaced the old theme with the new version of the theme.

    Auto Update using Envato WordPress Toolkit

    1. Go to themeforest.net > Settings > API Keys.
    2. Generate an API key and store it in a text file as you will need it shortly.
    3. Now login into your WordPress admin dashboard
    4. From the left sidebar click on Envato Toolkit (If you have not installed it yet read the Plugins Installation section of this documentation)
    5. As shown below screenshot type your username and fill in the API key that you just retrieved from themeforest.net
    6. Save Settings.
    7. Once the page refreshed you should see the list of themes you have purchased.
    8. If there is a new version available you will get the “update Automatically link.
    9. Once clicked, the theme will be updated to the most recent version.

    Update Through WordPress Admin Panel

    1. Navigate to Appearance > Themes Activate another theme to deactivate the theme
    2. Delete the installed the theme
    3. Unzip the file you just downloaded from ThemeForest and locate the WordPress Theme zoomy.zip
    4. Still within the Themes section, on the header tab, click on “Install Themes”, then on the header second tab click “Upload”.
    5. Click “Browse…” and locate the new theme file zoomy.zip
    6. In the “Upgrade existing theme?” option choose “Yes” from the dropdown list.
    7. Click “Install Now”.
    8. Click “Activate”.

    Please note that before updating a theme, we recommend you make a backup of your modified files. Also, we recommend deactivating its current version and then upload the zip file with the new theme version then activate and update the theme.

    Generally, with every update of the theme there an updated version of the Zoomy Core plugin required. You must have to install that plugin to get all the changes, improvements that we enlist in the version changelogs. Navigate the Appearance > Install Plugins to check if there updates available for the plugins. Update the Zoomy Core plugin from there if update available.

  • Language Translations

    All of our Themes are able to be translated into any language. The process of translating the theme is user responsibility. The following instructions are given as guidance.

    1. Open wp-config.php and replace this: define ('WPLANG', ''); with this (substitute the language string (bg_BG) with your own!): define ('WPLANG', 'bg_BG');
    2. Download and install POEDIT
    3. Connect to your site -> open your theme/languages directory
    4. Download the default.pot file and open it with POEDIT.
    5. Translate file and save it as bg_BG (the file name must match with the string you inserted into wp-config.php)
    6. Two files will be generated after saving. bg_BG.pot and bg_BG.mo
    7. Upload the .mo and .pot files into wp-content/themes/your-theme/languages folder

    Your WordPress installation should be in the language you intend on using the site.

  • Widgets / Sidebars

    The theme supports multiple location sidebar areas. Navigate to Appearance > Widgets to see available sidebars and widgets, to set overall site sidebar’s you will need to add some widgets inside your Primary Sidebar area. The primary sidebar area’s widgets will show on the blog sidebar.
